Six days no service from Public. Email confirmation was received from Bell last week. YES was replied. With public SIM in phone incoming calls go directly to Bell voicemail. Bell claims they have released the number and have checked with their technical people. They say Public has not picked up the number. I am leaving for the US and paying for uncertain phone service from Public and Telus. Please make this problem a priority. Thank you.

although Bell insists the number is ported, but sound to me it is a stuck port

have you tried rebooting the cell to see if that helps yet ?
added...you downloaded the PM app to your cell and successfully activated your new PM account already...right ?
