I don't know what I did... but for some time I had changed my phone to let it ring for a long time. There is a message at the end that tells the caller that I am not accepting voice messages then it hangs up.
I have a medical condition that now requires contact by voice and if not answered... by voice mail.
How do I turn it back on?
Thank you in advance

I figured it out. I had turned on extended absence... and I found this article:
dial into your voicemail and log in with your PIN.

@pnk You might want to check this. Found this from a while ago so maybe it's still applicable. Below is to disable voicemail, you may want to see if you have to add your number to those fields to enable it again.
For Android, open up the Phone app > Tap on the Menu button > Settings (or Call Settings) > Call Forwarding. You should see the Public Mobile voicemail number listed under "Forward when busy", "Forward when unanswered" , and "Forward when unreachable".
Tap on each of these items and delete the voicemail number. This should stop calls from being sent to voicemail (and if someone calls you and you decline or if your phone is off the line will just disconnect instead of forwarding it to voicemail).

I don't think I did it on my phone... It is an Android S20 5G - I called it from another phone and it rings for about 30 seconds... goes to the message I made saying that I wasn't accepting calls ... then hangs up.
I can't even remember how I did it.

@pnk Did you disable it via your phone? Is it Apple or Android?
