I switched my carrier from FIDO to Public Mobile, keeping the same phone number. However, after a while, I could make calls, but when others tried to call me, I couldn't answer, and the call would immediately go to voicemail. So, I wasn't able to receive calls.
But I could still make calls and use data.
However, when I make a call, the automated voice I hear is from FIDO. This seemed strange, so I put the old FIDO SIM card into a different phone. The phone worked, and when I dialed my number, the call went through to this phone.
What had been happening was that when people called me, the call was going to the FIDO SIM card, even though the phone I was using had the Public Mobile SIM card. Since the FIDO SIM card wasn't in the phone, it was treated as turned off, which is why the call would go to voicemail.
So, both FIDO and Public Mobile are active with the same number. Calls made from either SIM card show up with my number. Both SIM cards are working with the same phone number, and if I call from either, the number displayed is the same.
Why hasn't FIDO been deactivated? Why are both still active?
I've been struggling with this issue for over a week, and I only now understand the cause. Could you please help me out?

Did you reply to the text from Fido with YES that you are porting your number over to PM with the Fido SIM in your phone? There is a 90 minute window for you to reply.
If you missed replying to the text or replied after 90 minutes. Call the number @hTideGnow pm you.
