How long do the promotion rates last?

What does the $40 plan revert to after the end of the promotion period? Also, is this a GSM service provider?

Public Mobile is a prepaid, self-serve brand launched in 2010 and acquired by TELUS in 2013. It operates as a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) on their network.0 Public Mobile uses 2 GSM bands, 2 UMTS bands, and 1 LTE band.2 Rogers is the only 2G GSM operator in Canada, and they are slowly decommissioning that network.13 Public Mobile's original CDMA network operated independently without the use of another carrier's network, besides using TELUS as a roaming provider.

That information isn't correct.  Public Mobile has never had a 2G GSM network.  The statement about LTE bands is also wrong.

I switched that plan yesterday, with renew at next billing, but since the plan is gone now, I'm not sure whether I switched successfully or not.

The plan sticks with you until you change the plan/promotion.

PM is GSM

PM doesn't provide GSM (2G) service...was replaced a long time ago in favour of 3G, then 4G and LTE.

@hTideGnowI think he's referring to when the plan is no longer offered.  Like the $34 50GB CAN/US is no longer available as of yesterday/this morning.  It is now $34 50GB CAN only, no US.  So those who didn't get the CAN/US plan are out of luck unless they want to pay $39 for 60GB CAN/US.  The $34 is permanent as they locked in that price.

HI @99entry

1. we don't know. PM usually just stop the promo offers anytime. They sometimes put a end date but they might or might not extend it.  Like the $34 plan, should expired yesterday, but they extended with no further end date

2. no, no more GSM, GSM means 2G.   PM is a 3G/4G/5G provider.  PM uses 3G voices for phones that is not on PM's VoLTE whitelist.  But data works on 3G/4G/5G
