Completed 4 steps.
Got message from previous service provider (SP) advising that a transfer request was received, but to contact them only if request was in error.
Of course, did not contact them.
Thank you

As long as you replied to the SMS text from your previous carrier within the 90 minute window.
Few ways to know if porting was competed.
On your phone, it should show Public or your old SIM doesn’t work.
Make calls and send text to see if it works.
If not, try powering off the phone then wait a few minutes then power the phone back on.

when get a SMS message from your old carrier asking to confirm if you would like to Transfer your number. Your reply should be: YES.... porting is complete,
but sometime the system is fail the port,

Just like everyone said to wait. My experience with Freedom that I had to reply to the message sent to old SIM card which I did not reply at first but able to use almost everything on PM but receiving calls. Then I redo the steps from PM message and reply to message sent to old SIM(in my case Freedom), then everything works RIGHT AWAY !!!
Happy customer.
Cheers,
Phil

If you have your previous provider's sim in your phone and it no longer works then the port should be completed. Put your PMM sim and it should be working.

Just keep using your old carrier's SIM card. Once the SIM card stops working, then your port is likely complete.
Usually takes 1-2 hours for most mobile carrier ports. Usually Koodo and Telus is quite quick with the ports since same group of companies. Landlines can take several days.
