On my last trip to the us I could not use my us roaming because my phone was not set up for it. I received instructions 4days later after contacting the community. How do I avoid the same issue as no instructions are providing with the add. I thought my phone would automatically work once I entered the us. Please provide instructions prior to my departure.

Normally, it is automatic for most situations.

A few hints:
Make sure to turn on international and data roaming.
Reboot phone if not work
Toggle airplane mode on, wait a few minutes and then toggle off
Manually choose either AT&T or T mobile as US carrier
