Well, if your phone is fully updated and a network reset has been done, and not blacklisted.

Submit a ticket by methods @softech posted.

But in the meantime, reboot and toggle airplane mode.

You could also try removing the SIM card, and lightly clean the contacts of the SIM, as well as lightly blow inside SIM slot area.

You need to update the provider file on your iPhone after provider change.  Connect your iPhone to iTune running on a PC.

It looks like the number you guys gave me when I signed up already belonged to someone haha

I think the person working the ticket is looking at getting me a new number. I'll keep you folks posted.

@LancerLeads

Oh gosh. This has happened on occasion.

When you call that number, someone picks up?

A number change should get you back on track. Glad this seemed to be attacked quickly.

@LancerLeads

While the community helps you troubleshoot your phone make sure you have reached out for support from the CSA's as this is still pointing towards only partial provisioning of your SIM card.Put "sim not provisioned upon activation" and "human" and follow the prompts to submit your ticket via Simple--Simon the chat bot.

Once you get your SIM provisioned you will need a carrier update. This thread is helpful for all iPhone users when switching providers. @LurganIeUk , @AE_Collector  and the threads author @CalgaryBen  among others can help advise you when it comes to your phone.

@LancerLeads I don't want to freak you out.

But PLEASE PLEASE remove that post with your IMEI and the other post with your name, email, and any personal info.

Fraudsters out there can use this info. in a very bad way.

Okay, usable phone here, and an area that is serviable - that's good.

Did you confirm the IMEI is not on the blacklist? Just to rule that out.

Toggle into AIRPLANE mode, leave it there for a minute, then toggle back to regular mode.

Any change?

Still connect to a computer and launch iTune, (with your PM SIM inside),  it will catch up the update if available .. as well, it will download the Carrier Profile

 @LancerLeads : Connect to wifi then Settings / General / About. See what if anything happens.

Two things to point out.

1. where is the phone from and was contract paid off with new tab structure at all carriers they can “temp blacklist devices if used on another carrier”

2. Can you try another sim from another company perhaps a friends sim and if it read that one it is possible you have a defective provisioning. That is a backend provision from PM that they would have to resend.

@LancerLeads

1-What model phone do you have?

2-What city are you in (if you don't mind sharing...)

If Manitoba, there are areas known to not have certain services:

 @LancerLeads : I don't know if this applies to phones from the same family (Telus) but did you connect the phone via USB to a computer running itunes and check for any updates.

I guess you did everything correctly and tried all the possible fix.  There seems to be some provision issue late.  I suggest you to open ticket with PM CS Agent:

(After you open a ticket with CSA, please monitor your Community inbox, envelope on the top right.  CSA will communicate with you via messaging within Community)

1. For faster response (2 to 48 hours), Click on the bubble in the lower right corner and request moderator assistance, or you can also use this direct link instead https://publicmobile.ca/chatbot. Start with typing "Submit a ticket", click on "Contact Us", click on "Other" from the choices, click "Click here to submit a ticket" then Follow the prompts to submit a ticket.

2. Or you can Send a private message to the moderator here: https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/notes/composepage/note-to-user-id/22437

@LancerLeads ,

Perform a reset of your Network Settings.

Also, what model phone do you have?

There have been occasions that activations just take a bit of time, after various reboots; although it really should be immediate.

@LancerLeads

can you check the SIM card is properly is right,

Cool.. so, the top of the screen simply say No Service?   Try reboot it once more.

Also , if you have a second phone around, unlocked phone, try to put your PM SIM into it and see if it works

@LancerLeads  - Welcome!

You can create a Self Serve account here, to check your status:

https://selfserve.publicmobile.ca/self-registration/

Try one or more of the below:

*turn off your phone, leave off for a minutes, then reboot

*removing your SIM for a few minutes, then reinserting it

*go into airplane mode for a few minutes, then going back to regular mode

*reset network settings

*Check if your phone is blacklisted (just to be safe) here: https://www.devicecheck.ca/check-status-device-canada/

@LancerLeads   just to clarify, you gone thought the Activation portal yourself? or the Walmart agent helped ?

If so, are you able to logon PM's My Account/Self Serve?
