Hi, does anybody know if Public Mobile is a GSM carrier? Was looking at an iPhone unlocked to only GSM carriers...

I would say that the use of the term GSM is a term that really shouldn't be used any longer. While something such as HSPA can be considered a GSM-type technology, GSM has become known to be the type of technlolgy related to 2g service (whether that's right or wrong).
There is one iPhone model that won't work at all at Public Mobie, and that's the orignal iPhone from 2007. Anything after that should be fine as long as it is "GSM" and is unlocked (or locked to Telus/Koodo).
