For Telus customers....I think Telus should....

CountyDownIeUk
Mayor / Maire

1. For Telus rewards to be able to buy a Public Mobile Voucher.

2. For each paid Telus HOME  product on a 2 year deal, offer 5 rewards for the two years for Internet, Home Phone,  or TV.  Total 15 rewards.  That would shame the Shaw offer for the free Shaw Mobile.

Airmiles are ok if you are smart with how and when you redeem and/or earn when there is a good deal at the meat department at Safeway but it's not the easiest redemption program to work with.....pc optimum is the best loyalty program because of the number of stores under the Loblaws banner that you can earn and redeem at.

I aim to save or collect an averaged 50% discount on my groceries but if it's not fresh meat or produce then I want at least an 85% reduction, better yet free or being paid to unstock shelves. Halloween was cheap this year....after my $3 rebate the Hershey treats worked out to $0.60 each.....bag.

All those 'perks' are invented so consumer would consume, consume, consume.

The only reasonable is cash back.

Go and figure out how much money you have to spend to get enough AirMiles to redeem for $10.

No and yes I agree.

There are so many points/rewards programs out there and I attend to stay away from most of them. I am not interested in being tracked by any company. I was ripped off big time by AirMiles and am convinced that any retailer offering them will have higher prices.

The Telus program has cash options in a way and there are a couple of offers that I would use. And there was no option to join or not join. And I had a few friends that had no idea that they were even collecting rewards at Telus.

Loyalty programs at London Drugs, Safeway, SuperStore, Tim Hortons, Starbucks, Saveon.....forget it! But that is my opinion only.

Any ways, I thought I had a good idea. 😩

Did you miss my post? Uninspiring rewards redemption...account credit is the way to go.

Here are some items. And many more....for you to find. Some are attractive and some not.

No only for the telus store.

I've just been saving my rewards....how do you redeem? I think the problem with wanting to redeem for a pm voucher is its not available (or possible) from their redemption site vs a physical card like the iTunes card.

You log into your account and find how many reward $'s you have. They are very hard to earn. And I believe there is a link there to what rewards are offered. The last ones I did were:

$20 iTunes card (no longer called that .. is now an Apple Gift card) and I ordered it and the process actually deposited it into my iTunes  account .... very slick. I use iTunes to pay my Netflix bill.

$50 bill payment for Telus I did for my mother in law.

It is fairly easy to do. I have not seen anything discounted and not everything offered would be interested to everyone....if that makes sense. But I did find something in value. Even if it is a bill credit....the offset is cash in your pocket.

1. If if you can buy an iTunes card using Telus rewards....then why not a Public Mobile voucher?

Other than Telus does not like the reward going back towards their mobility service, it is mainly because voucher is not giftcard.  If it is giftcard , there is a chance (but likely Telus still wont do it)

Can telus reward be used as Visa giftcard?  If so, redeem it to Visa giftcard and then go for voucher

@computergeek541

I just looked through the rewards and that probably is the point.

@CountyDownIeUk

While a good idea I see why they don't not just because of the physical limitations but they don't offer any rewards towards mobility services other than their own. Of course you can just use your rewards to pay for your telus account and take the funds you would have used to pay for your telus services and put it towards your pm account.

There is no real advantage to redeeming your rewards for a product vs an account credit except I am assuming the one featured product? The $100 HBC gift card is offered at a 20% discount ($80=80 points) otherwise its a straight up $1=1 point=$50 Paid to telus for services. Which means since telus implemented their rewards program I have paid them nearly $5500!

While @CountyDownIeUk proposed rewards based on a two year term I think he also just meant per 2 years or as I propose per $ amount paid (in $25 increments?) Rewards in general at Telus are earned monthly based on the amount of your monthly bill. There is no bundling or contract ("agreement") required to earn rewards.

That's only my opinion that Telus wouldn't offer it.  Apple doesn't offer cell phone plans, so I would argue that's why iTunes gift cards are an option.  Using a Telus program to save Public Mobile customers money isn't something that I can see as they would rather Public Mobile customers switch to a higher tier brand than encourage a Public Mobile customer to stay at that tier (I'm assuming that the same person is paying for both the Telus and Public Mobile account).

Telus customers are paying for these options in the price.  So, I wouldn't expect Public Mobile to ever offer such a program to purchase or pay for other products.  When it comes to using some type of Telus points program to purchase Public Mobile vouchers, Public Mobile is a competitor as far as Telus is concerned even if they own it..  Telus doesn't want to encourage more custoemers to go to Public Mobile. They would rather have more Koodo Mobile and Telus Mobility postpaid customers.

Unfortunately, for bundle discounts, you'll need to go with Telus. Especially as Public Mobile is a prepaid carrier, what you're asking for is very unlikely to ever happen.  I also don't believe that it would line with Public Mobile's concept offering the best price possible without needing to budle products or obligating the customer to take a 2 year contract.
