Esim to sim card

Mike3409

I have a public mobile account and phone number.

My phone is using an esim. I want to switch to a new phone.

Can i put my esim onto a physical sim card. I need to keep the same number.

I don't want to risk losing the number or set up a new account. I have a PM sim, i just need to know if its possible to switch to using a physical sim vs esim and keep the account and phone number

@Mike3409 you can keep the same phone number.

you can change to physical sim if you like.  You can buy a physical sim from:

get a Public Mobile sim card from

then login My Account and go to Profile page to update the sim card number

or if you want to keep using esim, you can buy a new esim first (and ask for reimbursement after)

To rebuy new eSIM for FREE, first, download the app on your new phone and login.  If you have problem with receiving 2FA code, click "Didn't Receive code" or "Resend code" and choose either Send email or Send voice message

Once logged in, Click Account from the bottom, then click Purchase SIM Card and select eSIM

Once it confirms your phone is eSIM compatible, click Pay $  and Install (the system will check and apply a $5 credit to bring the total price back to $0 at checkout), and follow the prompt to complete and purchase and install eSIM on your device
(in rare case that PM charges you for the replacement esim, you can submit a ticket with PM support and ask them for reimbursement)

Existing eSIM users at Public Mobile who need a replacement can do so at no extra cost. When you request a new eSIM through the usual process, we automatically identify you as an existing eSIM user and waive the replacement fee. See below for steps on how to get your new eSIM.

@Mike3409  If your new phone is eSIM compatible you just need to log into your account with the app on new phone and rebuy esim to keep same number and plan . You will be credited back the money at check out if not you can message support and they will credit you back the $ for eSIM . Additionally you can buy new physical PM SIM card log into your account website or app and sim swap the number ( change sim ) to keep same phone number and plan if you have any troubles with it you can also ask support to sim swap the number for you
