AngA

I'm switching from Bell to Public -Canada /US not sure if my phone will be compatible with esim or if it's better to try to pop into  a store  to find a regular SIM. Would like to talk to a customer service rep and have my questions answered

@AngA

What is the make and model of your phone so we can check if it is eSIM compatible?

I agree with @Yummy about eSIMs.

Customer Support Agents aren't able to answer that question. You're best to pose that question here, in the PM Community Forum made up with users like you and me. My preference is to stick with the ol' hard sim. If I decide to change phones, I just re-use the original sim in the new phone...not so with esim.  Let us know what make / model is your phone..we can provide the answer if it'll work or not.

Give me ONE reason why would you want eSIM?

eSIM is not transferrable from phone to phone.
Physical SIM is more versatile... At least you can move it from phone to phone and I am not aware it Ever failed.
