Hello! I transferred my phone number from Chatr to Public Mobile last night, shortly before my old service expired. This morning I found that I can make phone calls but cannot receive any. Chatr said the problem could be caused by an incomplete transfer. If I reactivate my Chatr account, will the incomplete transfer be finalized? Thank you!

Thanks for the advice! I am trying to contact them now (in an extremely nice manner 😁).

Thanks for the advice! I have reached out to the Moderator. It seems the problem was indeed caused by the expiration of my chart account before the porting process was complete. Thanks again! Stay well!

In this case, contacting Chatr wouldn't be required to reactivate the service. I read the first post in this message thread as meanign that the Chatr monthly plan had just expired.
I do agree that the porting has failed. Resumption of the Chatr plan should be possible without needing to contact them, but another month would need to be paid for. Chatr could possibily offer a good will gesture, but that would really only be to keep you happy in case you wanted to return ot them in the future. While talking to Chatr customer service, you should get your Chatr account number if you don't already have that. If you didn't use that on the number porting form, there's a pretty good chance that's the reason that the number porting failed.

@CCamperdown did you deactivate you chatr account? Or did it cancel on its own? If you deactivated/cancelled it before your number ported thats where the issue is.

Maybe you left your transfer too late and your account was suspended for non-payment before the transfer was completed. If that's the case, the transfer won't be completed. Did you really need that number? You may now be in a position where you have to rely on the good will of Chatr to get it back. Be nice, really nice 😀

You would need to contact Chatr to see if it is possible to reopen your account. You need an open account in order to complete the port. Once your port is complete then your Chatr account would be closed.
