Does the rewards plan change on upgrade?

B0yracer

I have stuck with the original rewards plan as a long time user and currently get $7 off my $35 plan. I am looking at upgrading to get more data but will that mean I have to change to the new points-based rewards plan? Having looked at it the old rewards plan seems to offer me more but am I wrong? Can I upgrade for more data but keep the old rewards system? Thanks.

Once you find plan you want be sure to (change on renewal )So you don’t lose money on current cycle

Thanks everyone for the very helpful replies. Unfortunately there must be a problem with the system this morning as I can login but get no further to upgrade my account. 😞

Subscription is exactly the same as plan.  PM using this new terms to replace Plan and Pre-Authorized payment (it is now call Subscribed)

You can freely change plan and it wont' affect your current rewards, also confirmed by Community Manager here:

Will I be moved to the new rewards program if I change my plan?
Changing your plan won’t automatically transfer you to our new Public Points rewards program. If you’re currently on our legacy rewards program, you will continue to stay on it. However, we encourage you to explore Public Points, as it opens up even more opportunities for savings.
