I cannot tell if my plan has unlimited texting in the US. When I read the terms and conditions it doesn't make sense so please don't refer me to the description of mu plan in My Account. It says unlimited international texts. Then in terms and conditions says only if within Canada. That makes no sense. The description is contradictory.

"International text messages" means *from* Canada to anywhere in the world. To be able to text while in the US you need a roaming plan or roaming add-on.
What plan do you currently have?

assuming you have a Canada wide plan...you'll receive sms messages while in US (at no cost) but you won't be able to send messages while in US. If you plan a trip to US, you can buy one of the 15 Day US Roaming add-ons to allow send / receive texts while in US. (15 Day Talk /text 3GB data for $30 ....or talk / text for $15.)

Your plan would have to specifically be a CAN/US plan to be able to text within the US. Otherwise you are able to send texts internationally from within Canada.

@VMA72 If you have CAN/US /MEX roaming plan then yes . But if you just have CAN wide plan then no it’s just for texting abroad from Canada only

Good question, @VMA72
Unless you're subscribed to a US & Canada plan, texting only works to/from anywhere internationally when the user is in Canada, connected to the Public Mobile network.
