Hello. I've noticed that the options for purchasing a phone outright are limited. I don't want a iPhone and have had bad experience with Samsung. I’m please with my LG phone but now that company is owned by Motorola. Purchasing on Amazon.ca is an option but I prefer to go into a store to see what I'm buying. As Public Mobile no longer sells phones, does Telus offer PM customers a discount on phones?

hi @cory_c especially with Android, it is better to stay with bigger brands and common models for easier troubleshooting if any issues come up, and better network compatibility

Personally, I prefer a new android phone that is not a Samsung or Google Pixel but I appreciate the info.

No. PM is no frills, which includes no subsidized phones.

Nope not anymore. Seniors get a $75 credit towards a refurbished phone from Mobile Klinik and a discounted plan.

Hello @cory_c
You would have to check the Telus websites. Best to check out manufactures websites as they'd be almost the same price. And if discounted, they'd be refurbs. I'd rather pay an extra $50 for new.

sorry @cory_c
no, no discount on phone for PM customers
But if you want to buy new phones, check MobileKlinik, in store or online https://shop.mobileklinik.ca/ , which is owned by Telus. Selection is great and good warranty
