Different number associated to my messages to some of my contacts

Some of my contacts receive my messages under a different number ! And also when I try to log into the app, public mobile send  the 6 digits to another number and I can't see it until they send it to my email

I went to check the RCS status on messages app and it displays the wrong number. 

I turned it off, and waited few minutes then I turned it on. It still displaying the wrong number.  Cheers

I have a Samsung galaxy A14 5G. 

I am trying to reset it now. Cheers. 

hi @Izzan do you have iPhone or Android? did you try your sim card in another phone?

Yes my profile shows the correct number. 

My problem with the messaging number is limited to some contacts only. The others get the right number.

What phone do you have? If it's an Android go to Settings > About phone, and check what it says for phone number.

i am not sure if your port was completed when you joined.  If not, PM will randomly assign you a new number if the old carrier didn't release the number with the month

can you login My Account and go to Profile page and check if it shows your number

if it shows the correct number, and you are certain that you are receiving inbound calls, then you are fine..  Then maybe it is a message setup problem.  Are you using iPhone?

I didn't call anyone. I noticed the problem only last week when a friend contacted me to confirm about a message I sent to him saying that an unknown number is associated to my message. Cheers 

hi @Izzan if it has been 4 months , you wouldn't be still using the temp number.  If you are, the porting was never completed 

did you call the 1844 number to confirm?

Thanks for replying.  I joined PM about 4 months. 

Yes I did request porting the number from Koodo. 

I have no problem with calls. 

I think PM is still using the temporary assigned number to contact me and to transfer my messages to some of my contacts.

how long you have joined PM? you requested porting the number?

can you receive any inbound calls? can you test it again?

and call 1855-4PUBLIC, enter your number, what is your account status?
