Deactivate lost phone

Hi, my mother lost her phone and I've bought her a new one and installed an e-sim card. Is there a way to deactivate her old phone without locking the whole account?

I used an eSim and she still has her old phone number. I know about deactivating her old phone through Google, thanks, but I was just wondering if there's anything I need to do on the Public Mobile side.

did you install the esim using the old PM account so she got to keep the same phone number? or you activated a new PM account with another phone number?

for deactivating her lost phone, you need to use Apple or Google FindMy Device service, it allows you to mark that as lost and wipe the phone if it ever go online
