I was texted by 611 saying I'd used all my data and can only connect to the internet using wifi. But on my self serve account it says I've only used 8 of my 12 gb. Please help

HI @buildyboi

did you try using Private mode or Incognito mode to login to My Account?

It could be a cache issue.  It might say "updated second ago" but you might be reading a old cached page.  So, please use Private mode or Incognito mode to login My Account once again.  Also, it is best to click the Refresh spinner once more to confirm you are seeing the correct usage.

Self serve said it was updated seconds ago re: data usage showing I had 3.95 gb left

Data limiter is off. Can only get data when connected to wifi. Background processes are all off. Hotspot is off

A few things to keep in mind - the suggestions below are likely under your device's data settings.

Ensure that data is not using background processes with apps.

Ensure that any Wi-Fi assist programs are not toggled on; this could cause you to use mobile data when Wi-Fi signals are weak.

If you have a data limiter set, it could be toggling off data once you have reached a preset/defined limit - not many people use this option, but it is available on most devices and causes some to 'believe' they've exhausted all their available data when they have not.

Lastly, make sure you do not have a hotspot set on your device which may allow others in your vicinity to access data through your device.

You can also download your usage history but only use the date filters in self serve the other ones are incomplete. You can also get your usage by calling 611. Try refreshing your usage page by clicking on the round arrow thingy at the bottom right corner of your usage page.

Is your data working presently? Try to login with a different web browser, clear cache or incognito mode. Sometimes the self service account will show an older "cached" version of your self service account, including usage. You can also check your usage history.
