I have been a customer of public mobile for a number of years now very happy up until recently. The last two billing cycles my data has disappeared within a short period of time I use an iPhone 6 the only apps that I use are the map app and DuckDuckGo not sure why the data disappeared in one day??

Those two amounts of data usage, 14.814 MB and 1.235 MB, on the first day of your renewal --- is your data always on? What is your current plan rate (how much data do you have per cycle)?
If you are using iMessage often, then you data would need to be on. So how knows what background stuff is going on with any app. You could try turning off iMessage and ensure SMS and MMS is enabled in your device for a period of time. Then leave off your Data option in the setting of you phone all the time, and only turn it on when required.
Have you had an recent software updates?
If you have not, install the latest software that is available to you.
To rule out if your phone is an issue, do you have another phone you can use your SIM card into for a few weeks ? It would be interesting to see if usage is similar.

I’ll give that a whirl see where it goes! it appears the first day my plan was renewed that being April 10 before I even used my phone 14.814 MB was used followed by 1.235 MB I’m not sure but something seems very fishy like I said I’ve been with these guys for four years now never had an issue with data ever, Being used up all of a sudden in the last two billing cycles I’ve hit my max within like a day or two doesn’t make any sense

No nothing has been toggled I’m pretty conservative dude when it comes to data like I said nothing in the last four years has been a problem no pattern changes all of a sudden the last two billing cycles I’ve burned through the data within a day or two

Hey softech
yeah I hear you about the accuracy on the iPhone it’s a bit of a **bleep** record but I did re set data just to check On my Web server DuckDuckGo it did correlate fairly accurately Regarding my presumption on how much data I would use, it appears the first day my plan was renewed that being April 10 before I even used my phone 14.814 MB was used followed by 1.235 MB I’m not sure but something seems very fishy like I said I’ve been with these guys for four years now never had an issue with data ever, Being used up all of a sudden in the last two billing cycles I’ve hit my max within like a day or two doesn’t make any sense?

When was the last time you shut your phone off for a few minutes? Try restarting.
Not sure what things get stuck in the background of our devices that makes things run not as they are expected.
Try performing a Reset of your device's Network Settings. This can reset things that could go finicky.
This also resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings that you've used before.
Iphone:
To Reset Network Settings, begin by opening the Settings app. Next, tap General -> Transfer or Reset iPhone -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings. and enter your passcode.
Your iPhone will reset network settings and restart itself.

Did you inadvertently toggle anything off or on?

@JD10 Could be DuckDuckGo itself, could be other updates?
Unfortunately, iPhone does not have very good track back for data usage (unless you manually reset the built in data tracker every cycle) I suggest you to install some 3rd party one like My Data Manager. it can monitor how much data used and which app used the data
The only way can do now is to login to My Account, Usage history (https://selfserve.publicmobile.ca/Overview/viewUsageChangePlan/). Filter out the dates you want to check and look for Web traffic and see if it makes sense.
(**please do not trust the sorting features, it looks sorted but it is not, go through all pages of the cycle and look for Web traffic)

The data could be used up by some auto updates, what does the data usage history in your iPhone say?

Can you log into self service and look under My Data & Add-Ons to see if your data has indeed been used up?
