What would happen if I went over my month data limit. Are charges added on?

That's impossible! You will never go over. You will just get to the end of your plan limit and your data will stop and the plan feature will disappear from your account until your renewal. If you need more data you can purchase a one time $15/1gb data add on. It will supplement your plan data til renewal when anything left from the add on will roll over each 30 days waiting until you run out of plan data again until the add on is completely consumed then it too will disappear from your account.
Just remember there are never any overages, extra billing or fees at public mobile. If it works its included in your plan if it's not included it doesn't work. It's a no worries plan....man.

@HeHee : ...or you could change plans to a bigger data bucket. Or ask the CSA's to renew the plan early.

Would be nice if they eventually give us slow speed overage data though, but yes, it's a hard cap and 15$ per gig addon, 5$ per 200 mb.

@HeHee No charge. Data would just stop working. This is the beauty of PM, no surprise billing.
if you want more data, you will have to pay and buy extra data add-on These are the available data add-on
1GB Add-on - $15.00
200MB Add-on - $5.00
these data add-on are non-expiring. Will only kicks in after your regular data of the current cycle are all used. And if these add-ons are not used up at the end of the cycle, it will roll over to the following month
