I am on the Public plan that offers 50gb of data in both the US and Canada. I was just wondering if I have to turn on roaming during my time in the US and if turning it on won't cause additional charges. Thanks.

No risk of additional charges using any of the Public Mobile features. As a pre-paid service, if you don't pre-pay..it won't work AND if it does...no additional charges.
I just turn ON Roaming Data and leave it on...no risk as mentioned.

hi @Caleb12
yes, while roaming in US is now free with your plan, you still need to turn ON roaming mobile data on your phone to work
make sure you connect to T-Mobile or AT&T. And 5G might not work well , so better to stay with 4G or LTE
