Can't receive SMS abroad, want to port my number! How to do that?

sorry, if you cannot get the text, you cannot port out the number

a workaround is to ask a friend to buy a PM sim card in Canada.  change the sim card number to the new one and have your friend to help to receive the porting authorization text and reply Yes for you
