Having a 2-step verification access..massive bad idea..if your account glitches out or faults.. Publicmobile shuts down all incoming traffic ..hence you never get the 6 digit code to log in and fix the access. .. whom ever runs publicmobile servers..needs to add the ability to send verification in a different way other then the cell.

@ThomasTTT Perhaps if you sent customer service a private message as was suggested in your other threads your log in problem could be fixed. Or did you send one and just not get a reply yet?

you can in fact disable the use of phone to receive 2FA by remove it , or you can also change to another phone number to receive 2FA.
To do so, login to My Account, go to Profile page, click Manage EverSafe ID, you can then either leave the phone number blank or update it with another number:

You would have to use the "Forgot Email" or "Reset Password" option if you have email issues. Otherwise, in both cases, if all else fails, you will need to submit a ticket to Customer Support.
The 2-step verification is more and more prevalent in most online businesses now. It isn't just a Public Mobile thing.

@ThomasTTT The 2-step verification is setup to keep your account and privacy secured. It has it's flaws though. IE: if you lose your phone you won't have access to the text message.
You can always switch your preferences of the 2-step verification from text message to email receipt however. That will help solve your problem. 🙂
