I have started the port for my daughter’s number but now I don’t know what happens next, help!

@TravelMusing Yes, separate email address and account.

Thank you for this information.
I just switched from Rogers to Public Mobile, and am looking to move my son's plan to Pubilc Mobile too. He is still a minor, and is on my Rogers account as a 2nd line.
It sounds like I may need to use a different email address to set up a separate PM account for my son?

@Kassiej, did you respond with "yes" for the number porting requesting that would have been texted to you? If not, do not respond or respond with no. If you have responded with yes accidentally, you may need to contact CS_agent by opening a ticket through the Chatbot:
https://widget.telus.tiia.ai/publicmobile/publicmobile.html
(and then type: Customer Support Agent)
Or, if you are having trouble with the Chatbot try sending a private message to:
https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/notes/composepage/note-to-user-id/22437
(note: you will need to be logged into your Community account for this link to work)

@Kassiej Probably best to contact customer service, submit a ticket via the chat icon bottom right of this page. With Public Mobile it is all separate accounts.

Oh shoot. Is there a way to cancel? And restart?

I think it’s trying to replace my current number with hers as I’m now not receiving text messages or incoming calls. I tried to port her number through the Public Mobile app that is on my current account. I’m thinking I should’ve ported her number from her own app on her own phone? Is there a way to cancel and restart?

To clarify, there isn't any way to add an additional phone number to your existing Public Mobile account. Make sure that you do not proceed to port your daugter's phone number to your existing Public Mobile account. Doing so will cause loss of your phone number.

HI @Kassiej
you used the app and setup a new account?
if you already submitted porting request, leave the old sim card in the phone. Your old carrier will send a text and you need to reply yes to release the line.
once you replied yes, with an hour or two, then you can remove the old sim card and put in the PM sim card and text inbound and outbound calls
