I think he just meant you'd have to start over with a new account to get much cheaper than you currently have. To use your same number, you'd need to port out or park your number somewhere...then get a new Public Mobile sim to activate a new account...you could port that parked number after you get new PM account up and running successfully. Basically, it'd be costly and not very practical unless you really really really want to get that $19 plan.

OK, no problem. I thought it was easier to change plan in same provider but there's a similar plan for 19$ on Fizz so I will switch. Thanks for your help.

hi @Cibdetab
tell you the truth, from our observation, $19 is pretty much a new activation only plan. But for existing customers, only $15 and $13 plan owner would see this plan
It is not unusual now that many carriers restrict those super good plans for new activations or "WinBack" only

24$ 4G and want to go to 19$ 1G.

I have no clue how you came to that conclusion from what I said. We're just customers like you trying to help out.

@Cibdetab from the app, go to subscription, manage subscription *then change subscription, and see what is available to you.
If theres a plan that is less $ than your current one, you can opt to CHANGE ON RENEWAL (so you dont lose any unused minutes/data from what you've already paid for this cycle). If you opt to CHANGE NOW, it bills you immediately for the new plan and you forfeit the current one. You can attempt to continue to do that until you reach your desired plan. Its not a guarantee that it will work, but as @SKSuh suggested, it worked well for them over the course of a few months. Hope this helps.

Good, but how did you do that?

I downgraded from a $39 plan to a $29 one and then a $27 one before achieving my desired $29/20GB CA-US-MX plan. Took a few billing cycles to achieve but now I’m a much happier PM user
Well, if this is the case, let's see what @Cibdetab current plan is, then ask them to open the app to see what plans they are offered. If there is a lower plan than they currently have... and as you've said, each month check to see what plans are available to them, they can keep going downwards, I'd be interested to see if this is true. I know @funpig1 mentioned something like this a few weeks back. I'd be intrigued to see @Cibdetab do this.

@Cibdetab unfortunately if its not available in your my account / change subscription page, then you cannot switch to it. (Some offers are for new subscribers only) You may be able to tier down slowly if you find a cheaper option now, and it may unlock the one you want after that. Hope this makes sense and helps

Hello @Cibdetab
If you look online or on the app, you will see plans only available to you as a current customer. Public Mobile doesn't allow people to downgrade their plans. The only way to get a much lower plans is to port out and port back in if you wish to keep your number. Depending on costs, you have to consider is it worth it in the long run just to keep your number.
