If ypu have a physical sim card, just put it in the new device.
If you have an esim, you'll need to get a new one, at a cost of $5.00 for the new device.
Hope this helps

If you had physical SIM it will be a matter of removing from old phone and inserting into new phone.
eSIM is not transferrable so you have to purchase new SIM and to number transfer through My Account.

if you choose physical SIM card, it’s as simple as popping it out of one device and putting it in another next time
Many prefer physical SIMS for that reason.
