IF I WANT TO CHANGE PLANS, BUT THE PLAN I WANT IS ONLY AVAILABLE TO NEW SUBSCRIBERS, HOW DO I GET AROUND THAT TO CHANGE MY PLAN? OTHERWISE I AM GOING TO LEAVE PUBLIC MOBILE AND SWITCH TO FREEDOM MOBILE. ANY SUGGESTIONS ON A WORK AROUND????

I'm in the same boat -totally stupid. I joined this provider because they have good rates and now I'm getting ripped off not being able to downgrade my plan

There is NO WAY AROUND to get a plan available to new customers only.
You would have to Close your current plan, lose number, etc. and open a NEW account with new email, new number, new SIM.
We still live in a free country so you can do whatever you want with mobile services and threating to leave never worked for PM.

There is no work around. Well, there is but it's a lot of work and costs money. You'd need to port out to a different provider, wait a day or two and then port back to Public Mobile as a new customer. This could cost you whatever the cheapest plan you can find out there and whatever they charge for a SIM card. This is really and sadly the only way.

the plan menu that you see in your account include all plans that you can "upgrade to". They don't want us to downgrade plans now...unless we want to start a completely new account.
