We are all here trying to help you.   You can be upset with PM but what you are saying is totally unacceptable here.

There is no place for offensive word like that in this Community.  I have reported your post for inappropriate contents !!

FWIW, I changed my phone number a bit over a year ago, my new number was reflected on my old SIM card somehow. I had a (non-rooted) Samsung Note 9 at the time, and don't remember having to do anything to reprogram the SIM.

No other work around that I am aware of.  I have always had access to a rooted phone.  I have shoebox full of them.  Putting the SIM into another phone does not do anything.  One thing I have not tried is doing a SIM change after a phone number change to see if that does anything.  I am not that technically knowledgeable with the number change process.  Long ago, I google searched and found a root app that does the job.

We are all just customers like you.  We might be able to suggest you what you can do on your end with your device.   Posting here won't make them fix your issue.  Like it or not, you need to follow their support model if you want your issue to get resolved.  Open a ticket with PM now.

@Statilius , is your problem only just the phone not displaying the revised phone number?  Based on my personal experience this seems to happen with all carriers brands when a phone number is changed.  The new number does not get programmed into the SIM card, but the new number does work with phone calls and text.  My workaround is to force program the number into the SIM card using a phone number changer app that works on a phone with root access.

Not interested in Community Help,

Welcome to the Community  , you came here and ask for help yourself  🙂

if you want traditional customer support, check Koodo or Telus.  You can even port your number over.  But.. you need to make sure your phone is receiving incoming text with your new number to authenticate the porting request 🙂

I have multiple numbers on multiple platforms in multiple countries, I don't need your service.

PM is a mobile service provider than their employees do not work in waste management  🙂

Abusive language will not be tolerated in the community. We are just fellow customers volunteering our time to help other customers. Please refrain from further outbursts of this nature. We do understand it can be frustrating when your phone and or service is not working correctly.

Public mobile has an online only support business model. It is quite clear there is no customer service call centre. If you cannot deal with creating a customer support ticket thru Simple--Simon then send a private message to the CSA's. Otherwise you can work with us to try and troubleshoot your issue. Please be advised that CSA business hours finish at 10pm eastern.
