I am sorry to bother you guys. I would like to change my phone number and I am just stuck because initial phone number was used before by someone else and I was getting calls for that person and I had to forcefully change the available phone number and unfortunately as per Public Mobile policy of changing the number after 30 days I am not able to provide this number to anyone.
I would like to change my phone number urgent and immediately as I have to provide my number for official and non official purpose.
Can you guys please advise on the possibility of changing the phone number if it is not possible I had to opt for Lucky Mobile which is offering similar services like public mobile and I will get the phone number of my choice.

@arshee Public gave you a number in use. You changed it but what's wrong with the new number? Is it hard to remember?

What type of phone?
Is it possible to send calls from anyone not in your contacts straight to voicemail? It might help until the 30 days is up to make a number change.

@computergeek541 yeah I'm not sure which time is correct. pm fails to update the necessary info on their website. I guess I'll have to create a ticket... lol. @Anonymous

Back when the hours were extended, Public made no public announcement about the extension of those horus, but Oracles were aware of this change. Public Mobile has not given any notice in the reduction of the hours and I have not seen any communications to the Oracles about moderators going back to the old hours. Is it possible that SIMon was never updated? Other than what SIMon has stated, have you been told by anyone that the hours have been reduced? Also, the Get Help pages still do state the extended hours.
I'm not sure why Public Mobile just doesn't say that the moderator hours last for 24 hours per day as I've notice that they're there all hours of the day.

You can try contacting mods
You can also get a nice free alternative number with TextNow or fongo, i use both. Fongo offers free forwarding, i actually ported my old number there and forward it to weather cell in holding in my hand

@arshee , unfortunately there are no ways around the one phone number change per 30 days. If you are up against that limit, you will just have to wait it out. Having said that, number porting has no restrictions. What I have found is that upper tier brands seem to have access to more desirable numbers. You could look at a number port from a different service as a workaround to changing the phone number quickly. Of course, this comes at a cost.

@arshee system allows one change per 30 days.
You could ask moderators if they can bypass it. No guarantee they can. Click the chat bubble at bottom right hand side to open a ticket.
You can also reach them by private message.

@arshee Ask the moderators for assistance.
To obtain a help ticket, click on https://widget.telus.tiia.ai/publicmobile/publicmobile.html and enter your question in SIMon. Follow / invent the prompts until you reach the Contact Us button, click on it and a Submit Ticket button should appear. To confirm that your ticket has been submitted, check the SEND box in your private messages; click on the small envelope next to your avatar at the top right of your screen.
If you have problems submitting a ticket, you can also send a private message to the moderators, but this alternative contact method may have a longer response time. Click: https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/notes/composepage/note-to-user-id/22437
