@Soniajoel, what plan did you get? $45 is rather expensive for a talk and text plan. At that price, there should be data included. Right now the "favorite" plan among new customers is $40 for Canada wide calling, unlimited text, 4.5GB 3G data. This plan seems to be a magnet for Koodo migration offers also.

@Soniajoel, If you did port (transfer) in a number, and it was from a major cell carrier, it should usually take less than 2 hours (usually much less than that). If that's your case, and it has already been a couple of hours, then your port is stuck. In that case, you will need to contact the moderators and ask them to get things fixed up for you.

BTW, if you are porting a number from a landline, or a VOIP service it takes MUCH longer (days, weeks) for a transfer.

Is Walmart rep port your number to your $45 plan?
If yes, it may take a few hours to completely porting your number to PM.
You can continue to use your old SIM card until it is completely dead.
Then, your number is completely ported to PM and you can start using your new PM SIM card then.

Does any part of your service work? Did you just port your number over?
