I have Canada-US plan which should include calls, text, and data for US and Canada.
The data roaming is working as expected while in the US but I am not able to make any calls from my iPhone or receive any calls. I get 'Call failed' immediately upon trying to call any number while in the US although data and roaming (LTE) work fine.
I have tried various things such as toggling the Airplane mode and resetting the phone network settings but the problem is not resolved.
I suspect something is wrong with my account since as soon as I enter the US, I get what seems to be a full AT&T signal, and data roaming is working. I also received a welcome message from Public Mobile upon my entry to the US which also mentioned that I could buy roaming add-ons if I wanted to. This is confusing because I do have Canada-US plan and my understanding is that I do not need to buy additional roaming add-ons!!?

I had the same issue with same plan. Go into cellular phone voice and data options. Turn on the VoLTE option.

If it still does not work use Whatsapp, Text+ , TextNow or similar app to talk & text on the data connection.

@Ahmed0Mostafa The welcome message is automatic when you cross the border, it's just to indicate you are now roaming, you don't need to buy an additional add on.

In order to call in the US, your device must be able to be VoLTE compatible or switch down to the 2G network.
Try manually connecting to the T-Mobile or the AT&T network.
Does any of the above help?

Hey @Ahmed0Mostafa
Go into your network settings and choose T-Mobile then reboot. It should work just fine after that.
