@Meow : Yup, and they'll all get the same response. I'm not particularly profitable for them. Only PM wins in this...these calls consume my minutes.

And then 'human' happily says: 'No problem Sir, thank you for picking up my valuable call. I will remove you from MY calling list but since you confirmed you are alive and real I just updated those 55 other lists I am going to sell to other spammers'.

@Meow : Well...the term "call forwarding" had been used here.
For me, I have played around with those other options and didn't like that the caller would get some kind of error sounding thing as if to suggest there's a problem with the number or subscriber. I have been dabbling with pkaraa's idea of pressing the # a bunch of times. Not sure to what effect but whatever. It feels satisfactorily as though I'm "doing something". I'm the type to answer calls (if moment appropriate) . It's not the end of the world to me as it seems to be for others. If it's a recording, I hang up. If it wants me to press something, I don't. If it's a human I request that they remove me from their calling list. Life goes on.

Much appreciated @Anonymous your effort. It still takes some time to put all those arrows, numbers, etc. on a picture.
And it is all about right key words... Bookmarked!

Thank you @softech . I will try it now!
Where did you get that 'background info'? Any other tricks? Do you have or where can I find complete guide to PM phone system? Search function is not helpful at all and I know I saw few times the whole diagram... So I need a link to that diagram so I can copy it to my doc.

Call forwarding to any USA number will succeed as far as configuration goes, but any forwarded calls will fail. 808 000 0000 is an invalid number in Hawaii's area code that can be used to ensure calls that otherwise would be diverted to voicemail, are instead given a call failure or busy message at the point of forwarding. 0000000000 is another number that will configure just fine.
The theory behind this is that this "might" show up to the scam/junk callers system as a call failure or disconnected line instead of an answered call, whether by you, or your voicemail.
Personally I only divert the *67 conditional call forward to a dead end, or Lenny. This is triggered for calls you manually decline (if they are obviously a spam/junk call) or from numbers previously added to your phones blocked callers list. These calls will then not reach your voicemail to further annoy you by having to delete their messages.

the number 8080000000 is just a random number. You can direct to some more serious places, police station? , if you like 🙂

This is understandable you trying to be polite 🙂
But the question still stands: did you do what you suggested to OP? I am very interested as spam calls started coming again: 'revenue' Canada, some Chinese ads (most likely), etc. all end up in vmail box.
@Yummy : um...sooo...why wouldn't you try it? Or did you and found unsatisfactory results and so put that to softech?

@darlicious wrote:You can use the extended absence option.
Expanding on this suggestion, when you enable the "extended absense greeting" you then have the option to disable leaving a message. This is nice because junk calls will not result in messages you have to delete, but humans will hear a message from you saying something like you are not available and to try calling again later.
Steps to configure this option are here:

There are better options for you to use with Lenny being one of them....
You can also follow @Nezgar 's other suggestions in that post.

@Grace9 if you are getting that many calls , I suggest you to consider changing the phone number instead.

I want to turn off the voicemail just because too many harassing calls, every 2 or 3 minutes have a new voicemail.

You can use the extended absence option.

Try to "disable" voicemail, by dialing *004*8080000000#
This will cause all calls to either ring forever or get fast busy at the point they normally would have been diverted to the voicemail system.
