Canada USA unlimited minutes

I purchased the Canada USA unlimited minute’s texting etc. with 50gb of data but today I was close to the US border and received a text message 762-6 about roaming add  ons for $10 for 15 days. What gives?

HI @spunz8

the Canada-US plans include US roaming already (data, sms and calls), so no need to buy extra roaming if you have the Canada-US plan

With this plan can I make calls to Canada or the US while traveling in the US??  Or do I need the add on for that?

@Lyle_2  That’s not unusual to get that message , but you need not worry even if you didn’t  have the CAN/US plan as PM is pre paid and so you will never have surprise bill . You can’t use what you haven’t perviously paid for .but regardless nothing to worry about you have the right plan even if you had crossed the border . Just when and if you do be sure to turn in data roaming in your phone settings and best to use 4G not 5G and make sure your connected to T mobile AT&T or even Verizon

Hey @Lyle_2

That is something you can ignore. You currently have your phone "Network Settings" on Automatic meaning that if you're within a certain distance of a tower in the US and the phone can see it, you will get this message.  If you turn off automatic and choose Public Mobile, you won't get those messages. However you'll just have to pick T-Mobile when you cross the border. Hope that made sense.

the roaming text is normal for everyon3,  even you have the Canada US plan or you have the roaming add-on. The text basically sent to everyone by design

And to use the US service, just enable roaming dara on your phone and make sure the phone connects to T-Mobile or At&T or Verizon
