Problem with transferring a number

I have submitted a demand for a transfer from a text message (credit of 10$) but I was never asked my number to be transferred. I have created an account with Public, paid for a new SIM and for the subscription fee but the system never asked me for my existing number. I thought the system was able to detect my number (I did all the above on my phone) but now I am concerned that the system takes that as a new demand. How can I check? I have downloaded the app but cannot go beyond the first page asking me for the SIM card number. Thanks

hi @Trying you were using the website to subscribe?

after the payment step, you need to download Public Mobile app and continue with the subscription.  After you login the app, the step would be asking for the phone number, new or transfer.  That is the step to choose Transfer and provide your old account number as well as the phone number

Usually the step will go fine, but if you encounter trouble logging into the PM app, just message support agent here and they can assist

@Trying when you continue the activation step through the app you should get to a point where it will ask if you want a new number or to transfer in an existing number. When selecting to transfer in you will have 2 options to provide info to PM, you can give them your phone's IMEI number (don't go with this option as it causes more headaches), other option is to give the account number from your old provider, go with this one and you shouldn't have any trouble. You need to supply your SIM card number to make the service work so don't worry about that. Even if somehow you missed the step about transferring the number you can alway request to do it afterwards in the app after everything has been completed (services working)
