Hi, I recently switched to public mobile from Virgin mobile and I cannot seem to be able to receive texts or phone calls although I can call or send text messages. When I first transferred, i received a text message telling me there were some trouble transferring my number but when I clicked on the link provided, it sent me to an error website.

@Lyrehs youbgot the issue fixed yet? did you reboot the phone and test incoming calls?

The same thing happened to me when I tried to transfer my number from Virgin Mobile. I got the sms approving it but still can't get texts or calls.

My guess is that it’s giving you this message because the porting of your number hit an error. You should be able to talk to an agent that can re-trigger the port for you, although I’m not 100% sure of the operating hours for agents.

look like it is a stuck port. did you receive any sms from Virgin and you replied Yes?
I will message you the Porting team phone number to your community inbox. Call them and they can re-initiate the porting for you

Hello, I called the number you provided me with, but when I put my phone number in, it says that there are no transfer request with the number.

@Sean3326 I’ll send you the porting team number private message , they can re trigger the port request for you . And get it fixed

Sounds like the port wasn’t fully completed. I will send you the number to the porting department. You will have to provide them with the account number from your old provider and make sure they the old provider account is still active. The porting department will get you on your way.
