Hi, I can't receive Skype calls I was able to in the past but after plan change I can't pls help

Hi Chalupa_batman,

I just changed my rate plan on public mobile a few months ago. I didn't port my number from another carrier. Ever since the plan change it didn't work for me.

Interesting to know. I haven't used Skype in 20 years. LOL.  Had it for the first year then just used other VOIPS.

Skype is a VoIP app.  After a number porting , all VoIP carriers need couple days to find out you moved carrier and connect you properly.  Usually between 3 to 7 days. Please wait for that

That sounds more like a Skype issue than a PM issue. Why not just download Skype on your phone? 🙂

Hi kb_mv,

I don't have Skype installed in my phone. The other party uses Skype to call me in the past to my mobile number for the past 2 years but now somehow that person can't get through to me.

Hey.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the app. In most cases, it's the setting on the phone or the app.

@Amanda6219 In that case it really isn't an issue with PM. Have you tried receiving Skype calls on a computer to try and narrow down where the issue lies? Maybe uninstall Skype from your phone, reinstall and log in.

@Amanda6219 Are you able to access data on other apps or browsers (not wifi)? If you can, the issue is not to do with PM. Skype is a voice over internet program, nothing to do with phone service with PM.

Hey @Amanda6219 

I don't use skype myself... at least not in years. Here's something you can try.

Go into your network settings and reset them. Then reboot the phone and try again. See if that resolves it.

If you don't know how, let us know what phone you have. Android iPhone or....    we're all customers here who try our best to help each other.
