This topic was discussed a few weeks ago and an oracle confirmed this is ok since, it's All in the Family.
Not sure, which oracle said it was ok though. Sorry 😐
IIRC it might have been@computergeek541 . Perhaps he can confirm/correct this...
Yes, porting out a number from a suspended Public Mobile account to a a Telus Mobility or Koodo Mobile account is still allowed. I have not read any information from the Public Mobile team stating anything contrary to that.

If you were on a different plan than $15 then change plan first and then pay for $15 plan.
Account should be good standing and able to receive Text to authorize the port.

@victor088 : Thanks but the first reply is your solution.

@Anonymous
The OP is probably neither Archie Bunker or Meathead, so they are probably not All in the Family. lol

thanks.

@victor088 : You should be able to go in to Change Plan and change the plan and then pay for it. Are you transferring out of the family or staying in the family?

@hairbag1 my account just got suspended today. i had the $40 plan but i want to reactivate it with the $15 plan but it wont let me. it says that i have to pay for the $40 plan first.
cant i just pay for $15 plan ? since this is a prepaid service why cant i just pay the $15 plan ? it so weird.

@hTideGnow wrote:@hairbag1 do they really allow to port to Telus and Koodo with a suspended account? Are they doing it as a favour only (so, it is luck and depend on the agent and hence YMMV) or it is regular practice that they will allow this even for suspended account?
Not that I'm aware of...that's why I suggested that the account has to be Active in order to be port out.

It's a regular known practice.

Yes it has to be active to port out. No if Porting out to Telus or Koodo.

Another question, if I do activate the account how come it wont let me pay for the $15 plan ? ...How long has that account been Suspended ? Be aware that if longer than 90 days, that account is dead.

You CANNOT transfer your number out with a suspended account
You have to change plan to $15 first, then load the amount and reactivate
