Calls not coming through & cutting out

For the past month I've been having issues with calls not coming through or cutting out when I have service. I've restarted my device several times and it still isn't working.

@na94

Is it just your voice calling that is affected or have you also had some issues with sending and receiving texts? Do calls sometimes go straight to voicemail without the phone even ringing?

Here are the basic troubleshooting tips to resolve the most common reasons for your issue.

  1. Reboot phone.
  2. Toggle airplane mode on/off.
  3. Remove sim card. Check for any dirt or debris on the sim card or in the sim card slot. Keep the sim card out of your device for at least 10 minutes. If you can test the sim card in another device or the other sim slot in a dual SIM phone do so then reinsert the sim card in the original sim slot and reboot the phone.
  4. Reset your network settings.
  5. Add a $1 manual payment to your account balance.
  6. **Suspend your service via lost/stolen. Log out/in. Resume your service. (Only perform this if customer support is unavailable and you absolutely need to be able to make a call or text as it causes a glitch and your rewards will not be applied upon renewal. You will have to contact customer support after renewal and ask a CSA to apply the rewards manually to your account.)
  7. Change your preferred network from 4G LTE/3G/2G (autoconnect) to 3G only. If this works to fix a voice call only issue then the likely cause is your local cell towers undergoing equipment upgrades that affect the timing of pm voice calls switching to the 3G network from the 4G LTE network that data and texts normally use (calls, texts and data all work on the 3G network.) You can switch back to the 4G LTE/3G/2G (autoconnect) setting every few days to see if issue continues....if it clears up that indicates the upgrades in your area are complete.
  8. Lastly it could be a sim card provisioning issue especially if the problems started right after your renewal. Contact customer support and ask for your account to be reset and your sim card reprovisioned to the account.

@na94  - did you activate a month ago?

Are you in Manitoba by any chance?

If so, have this a read over:

What is the phone model you are using?

@na94

If you have some service now, it wouldn't be a SIM card issue, so, you can likely save yourself $10

Try changing to 3G Only and see how it goes

And do you think your service issue is more to a particular area (like your home or work)? and do you see it any better if you are in another area?

And what kind of phone do you have? brand and model?

do you have another phone you can test it out for couple days  It would be nice if you have one and can confirm if it is device or network issue.

Hi @na94

reset SIM, take out SIM, re-inserting SIM and power on,
