Arriving Internationally - need a month of data/talk

I have a group arriving from overseas and I want to set them up with a month of Public Mobile for each of the 25 people coming. I don't want to use my credit card to add funds to their account. How can I do this?

It's not a problem to buy SIMs in advance. The hard part is getting them to activate the phone without a working credit card, and without using my own.

Is there an easier way than buying prepaid visa cards in the exact right amount for a single month's worth of service?

From my understanding, customer service agents will not activate new accounts with payment vouchers these days.  You may want to contact CSA just to make sure. 

In your case, yes, a prepaid credit card would work.  Just do your research.  Not all prepaid credit cards are accepted by Public mobile.

Like ORNG said some have had success using vouchers. You could try getting 25 vouches for the amount of the plan + applicable taxes. If you do go this method and set up the account make sure to sure your referral code so you can get 25 points in referral for that month. They will get a one-time, $10 credit with your referral code. The only semi-hard about all this is you will need 25 emails.

@cam_p  I recall reading that you can have a CS_Agent open an account using the $ from prepaid Vouchers instead of using your personal CC on each. See below :

There is a workaround for public mobile when you are a foreigner with no canadian credit card:

Be sure to have a public mobile SIM card(s)

You need to ask the support to activate the account for you with vouchers and tell them what subscription you want. Contact them using their support form until you get to a support person that knows how to open an account with vouchers. You may need to buy multiple vouchers to reach the needed amount of funds for the given option.

The support person then redeems them and opens your account.

That's it!”
