I have been trying to call an area code within the province, and the voice comes on saying that I do not have US data roaming. Very frustrating as I am trying to call My father on his cell at the hospital and it won’t let me

Are you close to USA border. Your phone might pick up stronger cell signal from Americans.
Force your phone's provider to PM and do not activate roaming.

this can happen if you're close to US / CDN border. In settings / Cellular / Network Selection...make sure Public Mobile is set...not AT&T or some such US network.

Is he with Public? If so then dial 1-855-4pu-blic and enter his number and tell us what it says.

My account is not suspended. I have a 905 area code and he is. 613 are code which is Ottawa and it says I do not have a us roaming packing. Neither number is in the us

I've had this issue before, its most likely a billing issue. Make sure you've paid your Public Mobile Bill.
Go to Account and check billing details, the credit card you have may be expired or suspended.
This ofc mean its either you or your dad with the issue, try calling someone else's phone and see if the call goes through, if it does, then its your dad with the billing issue, and vice versa.

Is your father also a Public Mobile customer? In the past this issue has come up and it stemmed from one of the accounts being suspended. I’d advise checking the account on the self serve or calling *611 on both of the numbers to confirm that both accounts are in good standing.

I think your account is actually suspended , maybe Autopay failed, instead of roaming problem.
Please use Incognito/Private/Secret mode on your browser to login My Account and confirm. Make a manual payment to resume

That seems to mean either you or your fathers account are currently suspended.

@2023Amy , please login to your online account and check account status. I believe this errant message is issued if the account is suspended.

reboot the phone to see if that helps. Try dialing 1 ahead of area code.
