Hi,
I just broke my phone that had a Public Mobile ESim on it. Is there still a way for me to keep my old phone number from that phone if I get a new one? I'm not able to log into my public mobile account even if I get a new phone number because it needs the phone number verification from the broken phone.
Thanks

@Christinaaa don’t create new account , you just sim swap the number . When you log in t account it send code to phone . But look for option says “didn’t get code “ tap it and you will have option to send code to email instead to log in . You can re buy eSIM as I outlined in my previous reply . Or buy physical SIM card from Telus /koodo store or order from Amazon which is better then eSIM in my opinion because you would only need to take it out and of broken phone and put into the new phone . And in profile page in your account you can sim swap the number like this
SIM SWAPPING profile tabs
This can be done on app also like in my previous screen shot and reply . But if you just cannot log in get support to help you do so

Can I still do this if I have to make a new account? I'm not able to log in to the original one since it needs phone number verification.

You will have to get new esim or physical sim and do number transfer through My Account.
Go to Profile and there you can:
- Change phone number
- Change SIM number
- Transfer Phone Number

@Christinaaa You can’t transfer eSIM. . Instead Just log into the PM app with your new phone and re buy eSIM . When you see log in do you see option says “didn’t get code “ tap it and you will have option to send code to email instead to log in You will get credit back for the esim at check out . And you will keep same phone number and plan no worries
