Yup that was it. Thought selecting the service and paying was enough. Despite the instructions on the page, didn't realize you need to go back a second time and select the service and instead of paying with card, pay with deposited amount

@potato Buying add-ons requires first adding the funds to account and then back to add-on page to purchase the add-on. Did you take the second step? If you did, it should show up under My Data/Add-ons on the overview page.
Might need to reboot the phone as well after purchasing the add-on.

@potato Buying add-on is a 2 steps process
1. load fund
2. after fund is loaded, you have to go back to addon purchase page to buy
did you completed both steps? if you see the amount of the addon showing up as Available Fund in My Account, likely you missed step 2 and you can go back and complete it
If you completed it and see the add-on in My Data and Add-on section, then you might need to reboot the phone once to take effect
