Activation no longer needed

So, I thought to give my wife another line to lower down our bill and she refused to get the new number I got for her. She instead want to keep the service with Rogers as such and told me to return the service bought at Walmart. Issue is no customer service and refunds by Walmart.

The SIM-Card & PIN Number are active but not put in phone to be used at all. The activation happened at around 2 hours ago and they charged me $25+tax which should have been $0 for the first month service anyways. Now I am stuck with a phone line which I do not have the use for. Any thoughts???

That was exactly my plan but I am glad I didnt signed up for 8 GB as her point was she has LTE data vs 3G and I gave up telling that while staying on WIFI and using 2GB of your monthly usage; nothing wil change for you. She just didnt buy it. Maybe I am a very bad sales person. 😞

@kaura4pm  Yes you may be a bit of a bad salesmen. There is very little difference between LTE and 3G data unless your wife is streaming an HD videos or wanting to do lightening fast downloads. If she uses 2gb of data the $25 plan is a little light. The $40 plan is the best deal with 5gb more than enough to satisfy her needs. Too bad you can't switch her without knowing and port her number in. She would then test it unknowingly and not notice any difference but I dont want to send you to divorce court so ignore that as a suggestion. The alternative if you referred her is wither the autopay rewards, one month credit($25) and referral credit($10) if you add $2 to the account and change the plan to the $15 on the next renewal and leave autopay on the credits and rewards will give the account 4 months of service for a total outlay of $30. You could gift someone the plan at Xmas and there would be two months of service left. Then arrange for them to add their credit card for autopay and change email. They could then change password and pin codes in the account on their own. If you wanted to be a little more generous you could add the $5/500min Canada wide calling to extend the outgoing calling on the $15 plan.

Hey Jorge, Is there anyway you guys can consider this credit to be not refunded but routed to my personal line. That way I have access to the funds for future use and we call it a day. Else, 2 months and this line would be automatically deactivated. Please PM me for details so you can check for my claim. The SIM was activated in store on a $25 plan to start with and have never been put into any phone. WOuld be really helpful if this money can come to me and I will utilize to pay for my future months!!

She can have 8.5GB/48$ with Public Mobile (Adding AutoPay to the account gives $2/month credit).
And she can change plan every 30 days no fee.

You can port her number to Public Mobile (no fee from Public Mobile).

The next line said she want to keep her service as such. ($60 for10GB); she uses about 2 GB at max. Do you see the irony now Sir 🙂

All valid responses for not getting charged further but yeah, it would be super if I can get this money added to my account as there is no usage on it. That SIM card was never inserted in any phone and thus I have a PIN number given by Walmart to validate the amount.

Public mobile is prepaid, so generally no refunds.  This weekend promotion was get 2nd month for free, not first month.  Always have to pay for 1st month with any PM promotion.

You could sell the PM SIM card to friend or other family member.  Or try to sell on kijiji for discount.....

Remove your autopay if you did sign up for autopay.  Otherwise, your credit card with be charged every month even if you don't use the service.

PM offers a prepaid service, so under normal circumstances there are no refunds. You're $25 credit will show up in 7 days and therefore pay for your 2nd month actually.

Make sure you remove autopay and your cc info from your account, and you'll have two months service for whatever use you can get out of it. Even give it to a friend, maybe.

If there is ANY chance of a refund, you'll have to contact a moderator to find out.

The promo qualifies you $0 for the following month's payment, the plan amount you selected would be credited within 7 days of activation.  Unfortunately, PM is prepaid so you will not be able to get a refund.

Maybe you can persuade a another family member or friend to take over the new account?
