I already have a public mobile account. I want to set up my brother with an account also, I want to pay for this account for first year. Should this account be setup in his name or mine. I will be paying for it. So does it matter whose name the account is in? Thanks..

HI @sparky4514 yes, it is a bit confusing here
For the $10 friend referral, it is not shown on My Rewards but it is on My Account, you should see it as a Availble Fund,

After getting out of account and going right back in it shows that I have 5.75 reward points. I don't see the 10.00 credit but will look again now.. Thanks for your help.

The $10 will show up in that new account balance if it used a referral code at activation. How long ago did the account get activated? The referral code account (yours?) will get a point.
So the new account entered the referral code, clicked Add, hopefully a green checkmark appeared then you carried on with the activation?

you will see the friend referral credit in your account within 72 hours
So, you pay full amount to activate. 72 hours later, there will be $10 on your account as credit
Your 2nd month , the $10 credit will be used first, and PM will charge you the rest of the plan amount

New to this rewards system. When will I see the 10.00 bill credit. On my next bill after my first payment made in order to activate account I paid the first month so will the credit show on my 2nd month? Right now it shows I have 0.75 reward credit.

No, it does not matter whose name the account is in, but please note that you will need to have separate account for your brother. Don’t forget to use your refer a friend code so he gets a $10 bill credit and you get 1 point for every 30 days he stays with Publuc.

Dang it....to late to help you save $$ on the activation plan but since you newly activated with a new number you can still take advantage of a "loophole" based on the phone numbers area code. If you wanted to top up more than one month's plan amount you can change the phone number to an Alberta phone number to pay only 5% gst on the top up amount. This can save up to 10% in pst. You can keep the Alberta number if that makes no difference and your autopay card will be charged only gst on autopayments or after a manual top up choose a new local phone number. You can change phone numbers up to 4 times every 30 days. Just a thought.....

When I activate this account will I get the referral discount, I am mostly through the activate process and have not seen anything about the referral..

he needs to get a new sim and start a new account. Doesn't matter whose name as long as credit card is valid. You will need a separate email address. (but gmail works with alias)
I would be reluctant to pay a year ahead...if he changes his mind there's no refunds.

You can only have 1 email/1 account so you will need to use his email and in the Payment section, just add your CC, debit or vouchers.
This would also keep the 2 accounts separate.

Anybody can start up and pay for any number of accounts. The name and address don't matter. The credit card postal code is all that needs to match.
