8uv1 error message when calling toll free numbers

Cannot understand my phone all of sudden encounter 8uv1 error message (voice) when trying to call certain toll free numbers in Canada and the US.

Yeah, I dialed "1855-------" and got 8uv1. Then I dialed "+1855-------" and it worked. And this is a service Canada number, so I was scratching my head why it doesn't work.

Were you able to call those numbers in the past without issues?  

Maybe try rebooting your phone

 

Several customers have issues with voice recently likely due to VoLTE roll out.  Some needed to add prefilx +1 or 1 in front of area code. 

So maybe try to add +1 in front of toll free number

Try with a + in front. I have had less luck with some international companies that provide a toll free number from Canada but it doesn't get through.

try reboot the phone and make the call again  

 

if you don't mind, share the toll free number for us to try

or you can try using TextNow to call as a workaround
