I was able to access the account with the $60 Canada/US plan without Sim card access by resetting the password and sending the verification code to the email. After resetting the password I entered a different incorrect code 4 times and was given the 3 options for the 2FA code to be sent to: phone #, voice call or email. I chose email of course and checked the "trusted device" box and I'm good to go.....
However upon reviewing the account it is woefully lacking in details. There is no longer a listed deactivation date instead you must find your upcoming bill on the payments page to find the due date (in this case June 9th). So what does this date mean? Pay by June 9th? Before or by the end of? No mention of eastern time presumably...? By the time renewal payments are taken? What time does deactivation occur?
The account's plan/subscription details are woefully inadequate. Only the US Roaming details are listed and "unlimited international texts". Worse still only the US Roaming features have counters (not that you need them for calls and texts) along with the add ons on the account. There are no counters for the Canada/domestic features most importantly the 8.5gb data counter?
After searching around the only place I could find evidence of the included 8.5gb of domestic data was in the payment history as its listed as purchased 8.5gb data $60. Nice that they show the time......giving evidence that reactivating an account on the deactivation date is possible depending on the time.
I was able to download my reciept/invoice again....although I'm unsure if you are able to do this if you haven't previously done so?
Anyone with this plan may need this clarification.....this will be the last I can probably help ŵith since the intended recipient of this plan backed out I will be reactivating it on the $15 plan in a couple of days.
Edit: Like gum on your shoe......free is free....whoopee!!!
I don't understand how pm is giving us more control over our accounts by giving us less detailed info that requires contacting customer support to confirm them or ask for accurate usage details since they are certainly lacking in this account? Anyone else missing text, minute or data counters in their account?
Public Mobile is Grrrreat!!! 🐯🐈⬛
I finally got a CSA to send me my free Sim card that I never recieved back in March so I can use my spare Sim card for the account. I redeemed $30 in points and added my muskbird voucher that I was going to use to reactivate my lost data account a month or so ago.....and reactivated with the $39/20gb plan.
I was given a wifi Hotspot device as a thank you from the real "Dave" for finally getting his account and service back up and running. I plan on sharing the 20 gb with the bf for our second week of camping at porteau cove next week seeing as there will be no flaming marshmallow smores and ghost stories to keep us entertained.
It's not a total loss....there's still 1400 international minutes and a 4gb "mystery" data add on promo on the account. It will recieve 10 anniversary points in August combined with the remaining points and it's referral there's at least one more free reactivation on the $15 plan.
@dabr I know and it’s not the first time they did this sorta thing as we all know to well by now . But that 50GB plan for $55 90 day didn’t come out at the same time as the new system update is was like 3 days later maybe 4 .either way I’m guessing it and the $39 plan will be gone before long .. if not I can’t wait to se what happens in sept , when kids go back to school …because that seems to be a time good deal pop up . So I think they will get rid of those two plans and re offer them again then
@dabr The 50GB plan for 90 days $55 is just like the $39 20GB plan … it’s a promotion the same so long as you don’t change plans you get to keep it . It’s a very tempting plan for sure
adding I believe the 50GB for $55 90 day is PM way of trying to complete with freedoms 40GB CAN/US $50 national plan
@maximum_gato IIRC, that US/Canada plan has always had some missing components when being viewed in self serve or, perhaps, it wasn't obvious where the 2GB roaming data appeared in the account?
However, generally it does seem PM is almost deliberately being vague about some features (as well as 3G plan options, of course) that are supposed to be part of each plan.
I don't see any mention the $15 plan having unlimited incoming or unlimited international texts available in self serve currently and I believe maybe @LitlLdy has said CSA's have confirmed that those features are still included for new activations and it's an oversight?
I'm also confused about two current 5G (90 day option) plans and exactly how are they different. The $80 plan offers 50GB/data and $15 discount ($65/cycle) over 90 days and the $65 plan has 25GB + 25 bonus GB (total 50GB) and $10 discount ($55/cycle) over 90 days. Does anyone know if the bonus data drops off after some time on the $65 plan? Otherwise, it's just confusing to customers again, of course.
@maximum_gato there are lotsa things PM is hopefully working on and tweaking. Is there any cache issue possibly on this account?
On a renewal day for one of my accounts, this happened...that 'Your services are on Hold' is happening on renewal days; no doubt, will likely cause undue panic as others have in the past.
After 1pm eastern time, all seeming ok on My Account, BUT....
...not on My Rewards. It still shows this. 'Your services are on Hold' and "Subscribe Now". Likely be okay the day after since the date was listed after the plan term date, but no doubt will freak other customer out with this message. Those messed up/inconsistent dates or rather, how they are displayed, between My Account and My Rewards are not helpful.
@maximum_gato Interesting for sure , I’m missing the minutes counter in mine but i just have data counter and add on counters … I think it comes down to having unlimited talk / text that it’s not showing any more and only matters for data in my case . But if in the $15 plan I imagine it would show all still
