Ravidalal

Hi. So i was on 3g plan which i switched to 5g plan which was started yesterday. I checked 5g map and I’m almost in the center of 5g network in Edmonton. So i decided to check the speed today, how much im  getting. Apparently it shows 2 mbps download speed. Same whic was im getting in 3g. Does anyone else have same issues. I think it’s time to switch from public mobile to other carrier.

The username is CS_Agent.  There is an underscore, but not no space.

While I'm not in Edmonton, I routinely get speeds of 200 to 250Mbps.  Both the LTE and 5G networks are capable of speeds much faster than the 250Mbps maximum advertised for Public Mobile's 5G-speed plans, but performance will vary greatly on specific locations.

HI @Ravidalal

change the network back to 4G and speed test it

and try speed test on both 5G Auto and 5G On and compare

If same, either wait another 2 days as @Dunkman suggested or submit a ticket with CS agent

Yes. I rebooted my phone and reset network settings already. Tried taking out sim and reinsert again. It’s iphone 15 pro i just recently bought. That’s why i was really excited to see 5g speed but….

@Ravidalal

Maybe wait another 24 hours and check again.  It sometimes take  up to 48 hours to change data speeds when you change plans.

HI @Ravidalal

that does not look right.  Try to reboot the phone, try to click Reset All networks and test again

if same, please submit a ticket with CS agent and they can refresh your account:
