5G network

I made a request to change from 4g to 5g on my next billing cycle (more data -same price), assuming my 4g phones will still work on the 5g. If the switch is made will my 4g phones still work on the network?

@SCHLAH  Your welcome . So you. An go ahead and change plans to 5G enjoy faster speed and unlimited data presumming your not looking at the CAN/US 5G plan as they are not unlimited data meaning having throttled data to 512 kbs once the plan data bucket get used up

@SCHLAH  Even those on 3G plan can access the 5G network they just get there speed capped  to 3G speeds so it’s the same the other way 4G phone can get 5G plan and still have faster speeds even thou they don’t connect to the 5G network 4G is still capable of faster speeds then the throttled 100mbs that PM offers on the 4G plans just think of 3G /4Gand  5G plans as the difference in the internet speed you get wether you can connect to the 5G network or not you still get faster speed of a 4G plan

Do 4G phones and 5G Networks work together : Explained (gadgetsnow.com) This link suggests that 4G phones won't work on a 5 G network. That's what got me concerned.

@SCHLAH  Yes absolutely it will work and it will get faster speeds then 100mbs 4G plan being in 5G plan with phone set to 4G/LTE
