I'm one of the huge set of long-time customers who's being shafted be PM's decision to force us onto the Points program instead of the Rewards program.
The 240GB bonus was added to my account a couple of days ago -- but it is being displayed as an incompatible add-on. Last year, I think during Black Friday specials, I switched from the 4G plan that I'd been on since I joined, to a 5G plan. I've switched plans a couple of times since then, but all recent changes have still been to 5G plans.
Why, then, is my 240GB data bonus appearing as incompatible? Interesting, my husband joined PM a couple of days after I did in 2017 - and has subsequently changed his plan every time I did. His 240GB loyalty bonus is appearing as usable data in his account, compared to mine which is appearing as incompatible.
I'm on a 40GB plan, and there's no way I'm going to use up my plan data any month and thus will never have to dip into this riDICulous loyalty bonus - but still it really annoys me that PM would gift. me with something and then display it as unusable. Is this happening to anyone else?

However, I asked agent, I was told the 240GB is a compatible one. I have also been in communciation with Public Mobile about this and asked specifically about the situation with Canada-wide data add-ons not working with plans that include unlimited data at reduced speeds. I was informed that these add-ons being given in conjunction as part of the change to points would extend the data amounts usuable at the higher speeds. I do realize that isn't happening in all cases.

Thanks to everyone for their input. I was on the $34 5G 40GB plan that included unlimited, low-speed data once the plan data was used up. And as some said in reply to my query, the "gift" from PM wasn't compatible with unlimited data plans - even though the unlimited part was at very low speeds. Fortunately, I had grabbed the Canada-US $34 5G 50GB plan (which doesn't include unlimited data) for my account renewal March 27 - and the pretty much useless gift of 240GB of expiring data is now available to me.
Gotta say, this whole gift thing is a huge joke. How can PM claim that the points program is better value than the rewards program, when it clearly is not?

@DugMcVey When did you last change plans?

does your regular plan include Unlimited data...if so, then the recent Bonus data is of no use to you....
Clipped from Help Files...
The bonus data will remain active unless your account becomes inactive, you switch to a plan of lower value or to an incompatible plan.

@DugMcVey - Are you on an Unlimited Data at reduced speeds plan? Could that be an issue because some people have reported not getting their gift because they are on an Unlimited Data plan. But some others have received it on a Unlimited Data plan.
Another thing to note is if you go to a smaller, less data plan i.e: $28 and lower you will lose all of your bonus data.
