$10 dollar plan - no longer has unlimited incoming call after auto renew

Hi,

I just noticed that my 50/50 plan ($10) lost unlimited incoming calls after the auto renew.  The auto renew was on Oct 6.   I reviewed a txt msg from public mobile telling me that I had only 10 mins left while I wa talking with someone on the phone.  It was a incoming call from my friend.

Anyone comes across same issue? How can I get it fix?

thanks

@schiu, you might have confused unlimited incoming text for unlimited calling.  The $10 plan comes with unlimited incoming text only.

@will13am  I'm sorry I'm a little confused. The so-called 50/50 $10 plan. I was under the impression that its 50 calls and 50 texts incoming or outgoing period. Am I wrong?

All plans that have text messaging include unlimited incoming text messages.

Sorry to say, your impression is wrong.  Incoming is not counted.  I just did another live test just in case that things might have changed.  At least until now, it is unlimited incoming text.

Public Mobile is getting rid of its cheapest $10 ready-made plan as of July 16th. The $10 plan consists of 50 Canada-wide minutes (incoming and outgoing), unlimited incoming texts, 50 outgoing and international texts and voicemail. The plan also lasts for 30 days, says Public Mobile. Public Mobile’s forums state that anyone who is still on this plan will be able to keep it, but new members won’t be able to sign up for it after July 16th. If you’re a Public Mobile customer that wants to take advantage of this plan you can find out how to switch over to it here.

Thanks for the clarification.  Perhaps adding an addon for calling miniutes is a fix for me for now.

@schiu  That would be best. Watch your texts too there is no texting add on. I would switch to the $15 plan on your next renewal. With Auto pay its only $13 with a 250mb data bonus. Your $5/500 min will carry over with it for a back up to the 100min outgoing calling. Just remember once you change you cannot go back. The $10 plan is no longer available.

@schiu For unlimited incoming cals, you'll need the $15 plan.  Unless you're run out of calling minutes or outgoing text messages, and if you want this plan, I would peform a scheduled plan change to occur at the next renewal.

@schiu  the 10$ plan has never had unlimited incoming!   You can buy a 5$ 500 minute add on that would carry over every month until used up so when u go over your 50 minutes then you go in the 500 until renewal night!
